Overview of Mississauga

Mississauga is a city in Ontario province situated in the south by the shores of Lake Ontario. According to Canada 2016 Census, the city has a population of 721,599 which is sixth most populous municipality in Canada. In the past few decades, the city of Mississauga has attracted a multicultural population and has plans to develop its downtown core. Canada’s busiest airport Toronto Pearson International Airport is located in the city. It is also the home of many well-known corporate headquarters. Mississauga also has one of the largest shopping centres in Canada called Square One Shopping Centre situated in the City Centre. The mall has more than 300 retail stores and services attracting 24 million annual visits. On the west edge of the city, there is the second largest mall in Mississauga called Erin Mills Town Centre. Mississauga is also lies on three major railway lines. Toronto-Sarnia Via Rail trains on the Quebec – Windsor Corridor pass through Mississauga and make stop at Malton Go Station in the northeast of the city.
